Pierce W. Huff has worked as a journalist for more than 25 years, winning national and state-wide awards while displaying an ability to cover a variety of subjects from sports to news.
He has covered multiple Louisiana High School Athletic Association state championship games, Super Bowls, a World Series game and a WNBA Finals. He covered preps, minor league baseball and soccer and served as a sports tv/radio critic during his tenure at the Times-Picayune from 1993 to 2009.
Pierce covered Georgia State University Athletics and the Atlanta Dream for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution in 2010. He was the online sports editor at the Baton Rouge and New Orleans Advocate from 2012 to 2015, leading the paper to its first top-10 APSE sports website awards.
He was an assistant editor for Cox Communications, working at SEC Country from 2016 to 2018. He served as a night editor at papers in Provo, Utah, Anderson, S.C. and Gainesville, Ga.
Huff graduated from Clark Atlanta University where he was a member of the Dean’s List.
