HAMMOND - Albany and Brusly went to war in the Division III (Non-Select) semifinals. The game was tied at 58 with 23 seconds left when Brusly had chance at the win. Three-time defending Division II state champion Teurlings Catholic remains the clear favorite to repeat as state champion when the LHSAA state wrestling tournament takes place Feb. 10-11 in Bossier City. The Rebels flexed their collective muscle at the annual Ken Cole Invitational at Comeaux High School on Saturday. Teurlings easily captured the team title with North DeSoto a distant second. Iberville Parish Schools have promoted Tait DuPont, Plaquemine High School Athletics Director and Head Baseball Coach, to the role of Athletics Director for the parish's schools. Dupont succeeds the retiring Paul Distefano. “I’m so excited about the new position," Dupont said.
