Tait Dupont

The middle of the school year brings changes within schools including athletics leadership.

Iberville Parish Schools have promoted Tait DuPont, Plaquemine High School Athletics Director and Head Baseball Coach, to the role of Athletics Director for the parish’s schools.

Dupont succeeds the retiring Paul Distefano.

“I’m so excited about the new position,” Dupont said. “I will be able to help all of our athletic programs in Iberville Parish; from high School, to middle school, to elementary school.”

Dupont will not coach anymore as he has given up his head baseball coaching duties at Plaquemine. Seth Montz will lead the Green Devil baseball program this year. Dupont has 430 wins as a head baseball coach at four stops – North Iberville, St. John of Plaquemine, Brusly and Plaquemine High.
