The Douglass vs. Fisher football game originally scheduled to be played at 7:30 p.m. this evening at Tad Gormley Stadium has been moved to Pan American Stadium at 7 p.m. The game is Homecoming for Douglass and there was concern that the Booker T. Washington vs. Carver game, set for 3:30 p.m. at Tad Gormley Stadium this afternoon, could delay the second game so the move was made

Prep football in Louisiana continues to have cancellations due to effects of the current pandemic. Belle Chasse will not play its first two scheduled games of the season due to COVID-19 concerns after someone associated with the team tested positive. Cardinals head coach Stephen Meyers confirmed the cancellations. “The individual took a test at 1:30 and it came back positive,” Meyers said. “No coaches or players will be allowed at school for 14 days. Good news, bad news for Orleans Parish high school football with severe limitations

There is good news for Orleans Parish schools who play football. New Orleans Mayor Latoya Cantrell announced Monday that schools will be allowed to play football in the city and practice accordingly. The teams will be able to have contact as all other parishes do in Louisiana.
