Volleyball: Riverdale downs East Jefferson, Crescent City bounces back with win
Area Prep Volleyball Report for Thursday, Oct. 8
Riverdale snapped a three-match losing streak, downing East Jefferson 25-19, 25-10, 25-20 at home in District 7-II play Wednesday.
The Rebels were led by Maeyln Forestier with 10 aces while Kayla Ritter served nine aces. Isabel Cox and Lauren DiBella each had five digs.
Riverdale (4-5) travels to Academy of Our Lady today at 4:30 p.m. while the Warriors (4-8) hosts Kenner Discovery, also today, at 4:30 p.m.
After winning seven straight matches, Crescent City Christian fell Tuesday to Riverside Academy.
Clearly, there was no hangover as the Pioneers rebounded with a 25-12, 25-11, 25-10 home win over Douglass.
Makayla Bloom had four kills for Crescent City.
The Pioneers (9-2) travel to McMain today at 4:30 p.m. while Douglass (6-5) lost its third straight match and will host West St. John today at 4:30 p.m.
