Saints waive Tommylee Lewis

The New Orleans Saints have waived wide receiver Tommylee Lewis.

Lewis played in the Saints victory Sunday at Chicago, catching one pass for five yards.

Leaving the team now after his second stint with the Saints, Lewis played played for New Orleans from 2016-18, most famously remembered for the “NOLA No-Call” in the overtime playoff loss to the Los Angeles Rams to end the 2018 season in the NFC championship game.

The 28-year old product of Northern Illinois has played in 35 games for New Orleans, catching 21 passes for 252 yards and two touchdowns. He also returned 36 punts and 24 kickoffs.

Signed to a reserve/futures contract with New Orleans in January, Lewis was waived in August. He was then signed to the practice squad of the Saints after he was waived by the Panthers in September.
