Tulane’s Willie Fritz continues to pound the recruiting trail, reeling in some of the better prospects in the Pelican state.

The latest Green Wave commitment for 2024 came Wednesday evening from St. Augustine wide receiver Joshua Jackson.

Fritz and J.J. McCleskey was instrumental in securing the pledge from the Catholic League standout.

Jackson is the second highest rated receiver in the New Orleans area behind only Holy Cross star Koby Young, who just committed to Georgia Tech.

Jackson fielded offers from Tulane, Georgia Tech, Grambling, ULM, ULL, Toledo, East Carolina, Jackson State, Arkansas State,, Marshall, Michigan, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Ole Miss and Florida A&M.

The 6-foot-2, 185 pound Jackson also plays basketball for the Purple Knights and that skill translates to the gridiron. Jackson climbs the ladder for high passes, makes the 50/50 catches and runs routes well.

Out of the eight Tulane commits thus far, five hail from Louisiana soil.
