The Hash It Out Show Game Of The Week will go out with a bang with a District 9-2A battle. The Jefferson Rise Blazers will hit the road to take on the South Plaquemines Hurricanes.

Jefferson Rise Charter (4-5, 1-2) is coming off a 28-16 victory against Fisher last week. The Blazers are #22 in the Division III Select power rankings so a win in Buras can punch their ticket to the LHSAA football playoffs for the 1st time in school history.

The Blazers will depend on quarterback Kiefer Sanderson, running back Jaylon Jackson, wide receivers Marques Coleman and Dontavious Pierce to lead their offense. Javon Marco, Jordan Allen, and Tremaine Scott headlines the Jefferson Rise defense.

South Plaquemines (7-2, 3-0) blanked Helix Mentorship Academy last week, 44-0. The Hurricanes depend on two-way athletes like Alex Phillips, Jy’heim Williams, Trevontae Williams and Talen Om. The Hurricanes also have a consistent kicking game with Jose Sales. Entering the week at #14 in the Division III Non-Select power rankings, South Plaquemine has an opportunity to win their second straight district title and secure a possible first-round home playoff game.

The Hurricanes had the upper hand in meeting between the two programs last season with a 51-0 victory. Postseason seeding and qualification will be on the line at Hurricanes Stadium Friday night.

The Hash It Out Show Game of The Week will start with Countdown to Kickoff at 6:20 p.m. and then kickoff at 7 on TSBN Sports. V.K. Jones, George Pepis and Jarryd Boyd will have the call of the game.
