After both schools had originally scheduled games canceled, powers Karr and St. Augustine will now hook up in an intriguing matchup Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Tad Gormley Stadium.

The game will pit former Karr assistant coach Nick Foster, now the head coach of the Purple Knights, against Brice Brown, his mentor.

The two teams met in a scrimmage prior to the season.

Karr had been slated to meet McMain Saturday afternoon while St. Augustine been scheduled to play Helen Cox on Saturday night, both at Hoss Memtsas Stadium, but the stadium does not have power.

The Cougars won four consecutive Class 4A state championships under Brown with Foster serving a significant role on his staff in accomplishing the feat.

Karr (3-0) has beaten Warren Easton, John Curtis Christian and Catholic of Baton Rouge while St. Augustine (1-1) has lost at Zachary and defeated Jesuit.

CCS continues to track all of the prep football schedule changes caused this week by Hurricane Zeta’s impacts.
