Wrestling: Holy Cross wins Bayou Duals

Holy Cross fought off a stiff challenge from Jefferson High of Georgia 31-27 in the championship dual match of the Deep South Bayou Duals at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales.

In an event featuring 24 teams, the Tigers posted dual wins over Bentonville (AR), Dutchtown, Archbishop Shaw, John Curtis Christian, Comeaux, Sulphur, St. Amant and a semifinal victory over Wakulla (FL).

In the title match, Jacob Frost (113) and Cole Baiamonte (220) scored pins for the Tigers.

Jesuit finished fourth in the event.
