Area Prep Soccer Report for Sunday, Dec. 30

Having a turf field helps when it rains quite a bit.

That is the case at Lakeshore, where the Titan girls hosted their annual Christmas Tournament over three days, concluding Saturday.

St. Scholastica beat St. Thomas More 1-0, defeated Dominican 1-0 and tied Acadiana 0-0 in a very good showing.

Mount Carmel Academy tied all three of its matches, 1-1 with Loyola Prep and St. Thomas More and 0-0 with Acadiana.

Lakeshore tied Acadiana 1-1 and Loyola Prep 0-0.

Dominican also lost 1-0 to St. Thomas More.

In the 10 matches played, no team scored more than one goal, an indication of how even the play was among the seven teams competing.

SSA is now 7-0-3 and the Doves will play at Northshore Friday at 5:30 p.m.
