Volleyball Playoffs: Sacred Heart sweeps De La Salle to earn trip to quarterfinals

Louisiana Prep Volleyball Playoff Report for Saturday, Nov. 4

No. 7 seed Academy of the Sacred Heart is returning to the state quarterfinals in Lafayette.

The Cardinals handled No. 10 De La Salle 25-12, 25-9, 25-13 Friday at home in Division IV prep volleyball state playoff action.

Gigi Gibbens had 12 kills while Kate Farris added nine kills and17 digs. Caroline Balart had 14 assists and Lily Stone added 10 assists. Taylor Roberts and Clair Moriarty each served four aces. Roberts added 35 digs.

Sacred Heart (26-14) advances to face No. 2 John Curtis Christian. The Patriots (32-8) whipped No. 15 Springfield 25-17, 25-9, 25-14 Friday.
