Seven senior student-athletes from four sports at Jesuit, many of them state champions, participated at a signing ceremony Wednesday in the Gayle & Tom Benson Arena on campus.

Three-time state champ Spencer Lanosga is headed to the United States Naval Academy to continue his wrestling career. Lanosga also helped the Blue Jays capture back-to-back Division I team titles in his final two seasons.

Three cross country/track athletes are remaining in state: Michael Vocke to LSU, Josh Quintana to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and Tanner Salsman to Southeastern Louisiana.

Vocke won his fourth consecutive Class 5A championship in the 1,600-meter run Saturday in Baton Rouge.

Larson Klibert, who did not allow a goal in Jesuit’s run to a state soccer championship in February, signed with Spring Hill College, while teammate Mateo Mencos is headed to Ave Maria University.

Blue Jays quarterback Beau Perez will get the chance to play both behind center and at tight end at Southeastern beginning next fall.
