Another game on the north shore will be played Saturday night in Franklinton.

Varnado will travel to Pine to take on the Raiders at 7 p.m. in a game originally scheduled for Friday night.

“It is a rivalry so the kids are excited to play and it is great to give kids something to do to have a sense of normalcy,” Pine coach Bradley Seal said. “The last year or two has been anything but normal and it provides relief for the kids, the coaches and the communities.”

Varnado coach Adam Brumfield is in his first year on the job after serving as head coach at Bogalusa.

The two teams met in an absolute thriller in 2020 with the Wildcats taking a 40-38 victory.

Pine won 47-32 in 2019.
