Perhaps it should be called the St. Paul’s Invitational.

The Wolves easily captured the annual St. Tammany Parish Tournament at Covington High School, winning by over 100 points with Archbishop Hannan a distant second. Covington was third.

It is the 11th consecutive St. Tammany Parish title for St. Paul’s and the 21st overall for the school. It is the first for new head coach Matt Pinero, who took over for athletic director Craig Ketelsen, who retired after 30 years on the job earlier this year.

St. Paul’s claimed seven of the 14 individual titles. Winners for the Wolves were Jacob Houser (106), Connor Oviedo (113), Brandon Stein (120), Payton Ward (132), Ben Davidson (145), Evan Ulfers (170) and Cole Ulfers (195).

Archbishop Hannan had four winners, including James Geiger (126), Deionisio Talbot (152), Mark Pennison (182) and Frank Bretey (285).

Fontainebleau had a pair of champions in William Broussard (160) and Logan Ahlborn (220) while Hunter Verret (138) was a winner for Covington.
