Hahnville captured the District 7-8 wrestling tournament Saturday, winning by 60 points. Chalmette was second with John Ehret third.

The Tigers had six individual champions, including Gaige Boudreaux (113), Clayton Cambre (120), Donald Turner (138), Ethan Dixon (152), Shannon Summers (182) and Logan Brimmer (220).

The Owls had two champions in DaiJon Biggs (195) and Jaden Ben (285).

John Ehret finished third and had champions in Mario Garcia (126), Alvin Diggs, III (160) and Jeff Fisackerly (170).

Bonnabel was fourth among the eight teams and Bruin winners were Fernando Mayorga (106) and Yader Vindel (145).

The other winner was Calvin Singer of Grace King (132).
