Area Prep Softball Report for Sunday, Feb. 26

After losing its season opener to Academy of Our Lady, Mount Carmel Academy has now won three straight games.

The Cubs outscored Chalmette 12-10 Saturday at Val Riess Park.

Avery Killian had an amazing day at the plate, going 3 for 5 with a pair of home runs and eight RBI. Chloe Krey and Bayli Nelson each had three hits for the Cubs.

Mount Carmel (3-1) will host Belle Chasse Tuesday at 4:30 at Cub Field at Muss Bertolino Playground in Kenner.
