Softball: Mount Carmel blanks Destrehan to remain unbeaten

Area Prep Softball Report for Sunday, March 3

Make it eight straight wins for Mount Carmel Academy.

The Cubs remained unbeaten Saturday with a 7-0 shutout win over Destrehan.

Paige Reuther pitched a complete game shutout, allowing just two hits while striking out seven and helped her own cause with a solo home run.

Hayden Traub added a 2-run homer while Chloe Krey drove in a pair of runs.

Mount Carmel (8-0) will play Haynes Academy Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the JPRD complex.
