Area Prep Softball Report for Thursday, April 7

John Ehret blasted Ursuline Academy 19-0 in a game shortened to 2 ½ innings by the mercy rule.

Every Lady Patriot batter got at least one hit.

Lucie Llorens was the star, going three innings, walking no one and striking out four. At the plate, Llorens was 4 for 4 with four RBI. Carli Brathbury added a pair of hits for the Lady Patriots.

John Ehret (9-9) returns to District 8-5A play today at home against West Jefferson at 4 p.m.

The Lions (4-9) host Thomas Jefferson today at 4 p.m. in District 11-3A action.

Hahnville made it five straight wins with a 5-4 home victory over Mandeville.

The Lady Tigers won it on a walk-off single by VanEtta in the bottom of the seventh.

Laney Waguespack picked up the win, going six innings, allowing a run on three hits with six strikeouts.

Adeline Bertrand, Brazzi Jacob and Sara Roussel each had a pair of hits for Hahnville.

The Lady Tigers (20-10) will host Class 5A power Barbe Monday at 4 p.m.

The Lady Skippers (18-12) saw their four-game win streak end. Mandeville returns to District 6-5A action today, traveling to Covington at 4 p.m.
