Soccer: West Jeff girls beat East Jeff, boys play to draw
Area Prep Soccer Report for Sunday, Dec. 16
At Joe Yenni Stadium, West Jefferson shutout East Jefferson 2-0 in girls action.
The Buccaneers scored a goal in each half. Sophomore Kency Hernandez scored for West Jefferson while sophomore Sofia Martinez had an assist.
West Jefferson (4-2) returns to action Monday at 4 p.m. at Grace King while East Jefferson fell to 3-7 with the loss.
In the boys match, the Buccaneers and Warriors played to a 1-1 tie.
Senior Erick Lara scored the lone goal for East Jefferson (7-2-1) as both teams scored a goal in the second half.
East Jefferson returns to action Wednesday at Muss Bertolino Playground against Grace King at 6 p.m. while West Jefferson (2-3-1) will face Grace King tomorrow at 6 p.m. at Bertolino Playground.
