Soccer: Hannan boys win, Northshore-SSA play to tie in girls matchup

Area Prep Soccer Report for Wednesday, Dec. 12

Archbishop Hannan bounced back from a loss to Parkview Baptist with an 8-4 win Tuesday at Christ Episcopal.

Logan Forjet came up big for the Hawks with a hat trick. Hannan (7-3) returns to action Friday at St. Martin’s Episcopal at 5 p.m.

The Saints lost 3-2 at home to Fisher Tuesday. Christ Episcopal (3-5-1) is back in action Saturday at Country Day at noon.

In girls action, St. Scholastica and Northshore played to a 1-1 tie in a battle of highly ranked teams in Division I. Northshore is third while SSA is currently fourth in the LHSAA power rankings posted Tuesday.

The Doves jumped on top in the first half on a goal by Sydney Vincens to lead 1-0 at halftime. Molly McReynolds got the equalizer for the Panthers in the second half.

Northshore (7-0-1) will next host Dominican Saturday at 3 p.m. while St. Scholastica (2-0-2) will play at Lakeshore next Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
