Area Prep Soccer Report for Thursday, Jan. 9

Belle Chasse whipped Landry-Walker 6-0 in boys action Wednesday.

The Cardinals scored four goals in the first half and added a pair in the second half.

Freshman Jorge Martinez and junior Michael Rodriguez stole the show. Rodriguez had a hat trick while Rodriguez had a huge game with two goals and two assists. Junior Luis Giron added the other goal. Junior Dylan Hopstetter had a clean sheet in goal.

Belle Chasse (4-4-1) returns to action Friday afternoon at Archbishop Rummel at 3:30 p.m. while the Chargin’ Bucs (4-5-3) will host McMain Friday at 6 p.m.
