Can the injury situation get any worse at wide receiver for the New Orleans Saints?

The first injury report Wednesday for the game Sunday pitting the Saints against the Bears in Chicago revealed that Michael Thomas remains out with his hamstring and ankle problems.

Emmanuel Sanders is still dealing with COVID-19 issues which Sean Payton would not comment on earlier in the day in his media conference briefing.

Meanwhile, the latest wideout to make his mark is also currently sidelined.

Marquez Callaway missed practice with an ankle problem as well. Callaway had a breakout game in the Saints’ 27-24 win over Carolina last Sunday, catching eight passes for 75 yards.

Nick Easton, with his ongoing concussion issues, and Terron Armstead, with his ongoing elbow injury, were both limited today.

The Bears had six players miss practice today but just four were injury related.

Former Saints Jimmy Graham and Ted Ginn Jr. took a day of rest while defensive star Khalil Mack was out with an ankle injury. Others out today included top wide receiver Alvin Robinson, with a concussion, wide receiver Cordarrelle Peterson, with a quad injury and center Cody Whitehair, with a calf problem.

Five others were limited for Chicago, including tight end Cole Kmet, safeties Eddie Jackson and Sherrick McManis, along with offensive linemen Raashad Coward and Jason Springgs.
