Rummel-St. Augustine series to air live on The Ticket 106.1 FM

The District 9-5A series between Archbishop Rummel and St. Augustine will air live on The Ticket 106.1 FM this week.

Game one is Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Wesley Barrow Stadium with game two set for Thursday night at 7 p.m. at Mike Miley Stadium.

The Raiders (11-5, 2-0) swept their district opening series against John Curtis Christian, winning 3-0 and 6-1.

Rummel, which reached the Select Division I state championship game in 2023, is led by ace pitcher Giancarlo Arencibia. The Tulane commit pitched a no-hitter against John Curtis last Tuesday night. Outfielder Ruben Ramirez is batting .404 with a home run and seven RBI. LSU signee Mikey Ryan is batting .361 with nine RBI.

The Purple Knights (7-10, 1-1) split their district opening series against Jesuit, winning 6-5 in eight innings and losing 12-3.

St. Augustine is led by Tyrin Kirklin, Aiden Castillo and Tulane commit Bryce Robinson.

Cumulus Radio New Orleans Sports Director Ken Trahan of CrescentCitySports.com will have the call of the games with former Rummel and Tulane star Kenny Francingues joining him.
