Recruiting: Warren Easton defensive tackle Jameian Buxton commits to UTSA
Warren Easton defensive tackle Jameian Buxton committed Wednesday to UTSA, becoming the 12th pledge for the Roadrunners for their 2023 class.
The 6-foot-2, 280 pounder drew offers from LSU, Colorado, Miami, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Florida State, Kansas, UTSA, Arizona State, Tennessee, Virginia, Georgia, Memphis and Southern Miss. He had been offered by LSU as an 8th grader so many speculated that’s where he would land.
Buxton transferred from Thibodaux High to Warren Easton following Hurricane Ida. He is the fourth rated interior defesnive lineman in the state for the 2023 recruiting class.
The three-star recruit demonstrates skills to play nose tackle, 3-tech or 5-tech. He uses his hands very well and plays with good leverage.
