LSU is off to a sizzling start for the 2025 recruiting cycle with the commitments of the nation’s top ranked running back Harlem Berry and the top rated wide receiver Dakorien Moore, now the No. 1 ranked quarterback and overall player in the country is pledged to the Tigers.

Quarterback Bryce Underwood paired his finalists to LSU, Alabama, Michigan, Georgia, Notre Dame, Colorado, Ohio State and Texas. LSU’s Joe Sloan was instrumental in securing his verbal.

The 6-3 1/2, 205 pounder is advanced physically and gifted as a passer. He has accounted for 9,055 total passing yards and 118 touchdowns through the air with only six interceptions in three seasons at Belleville High School. He led Belleville (Michigan) to consecutive state titles as a freshman and sophomore. He was tabbed by Max Preps and the National sophomore of the year in 2022.

His mobile skills to not only get him out of trouble also make him a legit running threat.

Underwood is the eighth pledge for the Purple and Gold thus far for the ’25 class, including a pair of five-stars (Underwood and Moore) and two four-stars (Berry and linebacker Keylan Moses).

The commitment of Underwood sends a clear signal coast to coast as to what type of program LSU looks to have for the foreseeable future. It should impact recruiting including forays into the transfer portal moving forward.
