Recruiting: Former Baylor, Sam Houston State OL Prince Pines to transfer to Tulane

Sam Houston State offensive lineman Prince Pines is transferring to Tulane for the 2022 season.

Pines had signaled plans to transfer to Oklahoma State on March 28 but changed direction.

The Tara High School product was a 2018 three-star prospect, the fourth rated offensive lineman and the 23rd ranked overall player in Louisiana. He began his prep career at University Lab but transferred to Tara for his senior campaign in 2017.

With offers at the time from Baylor, Arkansas, ULL, Memphis, Texas Tech, UCF, Texas State, Mississippi State, TCU, Houston and Arkansas State, Pine decided to sign with Baylor.

The 6-foot-5, 340 pounder played in 14 games during the 2019 season for the Bears but transferred to Sam Houston State the following season in August 2020. He earned seconnd team all-conference honors the past two seasons.
