In Lake Charles, No. 2 Sam Houston downed No. 10 Destrehan 8-5.

The Wildcats started well, taking the early lead when Dylan Charles was hit by a pitch to force in a run to make it 1-0 in the top of the first inning. Ahman Morris belted a solo home run in the top of the third to make it 2-0.

The Broncos (24-4) then scored eight unanswered runs, tying it with two runs in the bottom of the third on an RBI double by Cameron Meeks and an RBI by Kyle Bartley. Meeks later homered while Braden Duhon had an RBI triple and Silas Ardoin added an RBI single to give Sam Houston an 8-2 lead.
