The Saints Hall of Fame will present a live radio show on NASH ICON 106.1 FM featuring prominent former New Orleans Saints players on Wednesday nights beginning September 6 from 6-7 o’clock at Segnette Landing Restaurant at 450 Laroussini Street in Westwego.

On September 6, Saints Hall of Fame inductee Tyrone Hughes will be the guest of Cumulus New Orleans Sports Director Ken Trahan of Crescent City Sports.

A hometown hero, Hughes starred at St. Augustine High School before playing at Nebraska. He was a fifth-round draft pick of the New Orleans Saints in the 1993 NFL Draft.

Hughes was the best kick return specialist in the NFL in his rookie season, leading the league in punt returns yards with 503, earning Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors. He followed that up with a great season in 1994, leading the NFL in kickoff return yards and again led the league in that department in 1995 and in 1996. Hughes returned five kicks for touchdowns (two punts, three kickoffs) and had four interceptions and 67 tackles on defense.

In recognition of his fine career, Hughes was inducted into the Saints Hall of Fame in 2015.

Segnette Landing Restaurant features outstanding Cajun and seafood dining with indoor and harbor front dining on Bayou Segnette, where Swamp Boat Tours are available seven days a week.

Those in attendance will be eligible to receive many prizes to be given away at the show.

The second show is set for Wednesday, September 20.
