The season-opening matchup between McDonogh 35 and St. Augustine game, originally scheduled for Friday, has been moved to Sunday, Sept. 3, at 5 p.m.

The rivalry game between the Roneagles and Purple Knights will still be held at Tad Gormley Stadium in City Park.

The change comes as a preemptive measure to increased chances of flooding and other weather related issues from Harvey as the tropical system batters southeast Texas and south Louisiana with heavy rains and high winds. Orleans Parish public and parochial schools are closed Tuesday.
