Caesars Superdome

The Louisiana High School Athletic Association has announced the schedule for the Ochsner Prep Classic Dec. 8-10 in the Caesars Superdome.

Eight championship games will be played after the LHSAA’s executive committee voted in June to change the definition of select schools, which has provided a balance to the numbers of select and non-select programs in the state. Following the appeals process, the executive committee accepted executive director Eddie Bonine’s recommendation to have four divisions on both the select and non-select sides.

Thursday’s games will feature the Division IV games on both sides. Friday’s schedule has the Division II and Division III select games in the afternoon, with the Division I non-select game in prime time. On Saturday, the schedule reverses, with the Division II and III non-select games in the day and the Division I select title game closing out the schedule.

The full playoff brackets will be announced on Nov. 6, the day after the regular season concludes.
