Lafayette High hires Patterson’s Garrett Kreamer as new head football coach

Garrett Kreamer

Lafayette High School has tabbed Garrett Kreamer as its new head football coach.

Kreamer has been serving as athletic director and head football coach at Patterson. He led the Lumberjacks to a state quarterfinal appearance in 2022.

Kreamer, a Comeaux High graduate, has served as an assistant at his alma mater UL Lafayette as well as Tyler (JUCO) and Pearl River (JUCO). He spent one year as head coach at Evangel Christian.

Lafayette’s job opened when Cedric Figaro resigned from the position after leading the Mighty Lions for the past three seasons which included two playoff appearances and a 16-14 overall record. Figaro has joined the Northside High staff as an assistant coach.
