Girls Bowling: Chapelle scores big in win over Patrick Taylor

Archbishop Chapelle had a 1,093 opening game as part of a 2,964 team series en route to a 25-2 victory Monday over Patrick Taylor at Colonial Lanes in Harahan.

The Chipmunks (3-0) started fast behind Elizabeth Hamilton’s 238 and Olivia Bares’ 221. They kept it up in game 2 as Hamilton fired a 235 and Bares a 212.

Hamilton finished with a 665 series to lead Chapelle.

Addison Tran paced Patrick Taylor (1-1) with a 471 series.

The match was the only girls bowling match in the area on Monday. The scheduled match between Fisher and Academy of Our Lady was postponed until Feb. 21.
