Girls Bowling: Chapelle, Patrick Taylor continue winning ways

Archbishop Chapelle continued its early-season dominance with a 27-0 shutout of Fisher on Monday at Westside Lanes in Harvey.

The Chipmunks (5-0), third in the latest LHSAA girls power rankings, had a 2,679 team series.

Olivia Bares led Chapelle with a 575 series, including games of 212 and 200.

Peyton Miller’s 124 middle game was the best of the day for Fisher (0-4).

Chapelle has dropped only 12 of a possible 135 points on the season.

Patrick Taylor 19, Academy of Our Lady 8: In an all-West Bank matchup at Westside, the Tigers dominated the middle game in defeating the Penguins.

The teams were tied 4-4 after one game, but Addison Tran’s 184 and Catherine McBrayer’s 170 led a second-game resurgence for Patrick Taylor (5-1), which entered the week 10th in the LHSAA power rankings.

Tran finished with a team-best 502 series. Taylor Rotolo had a 486 series and Felicie Dufrene had a 205 opening game for AOL (2-3).

Cabrini 19, Kenner Discovery 8: The Crescents picked up their first victory of 2024, defeating the Swamp Owls at Westside.

Annalise Collins’ 145 opening game was the best of the day for Cabrini (1-3).

Haley Adams had a 138 middle game to lead Kenner Discovery (3-2), which entered the day 14th in the power rankings.
