Girls Basketball: West St. John rolls Ascension Catholic
Area Girls Prep Basketball Report for Thursday, Jan. 10
West St. John went on the road and had no problem with Ascension Catholic in a 65-30 victory Wednesday evening.
It was the third straight victory for the Rams and the eighth win in nine games for West St. John.
The Rams took control immediately, taking a 25-6 lead after one quarter and a 42-15 lead by halftime. It was 55-23 after three quarters.
Junior Kylie Adams led the Lady Rams (19-6) with 16 points while senior Nazel Breaux added 12 points. Senior Stevante Hamilton and junior Sonte Pierre each finished with nine points. West St. John was eighth in the most recent LHSAA Class 1A power rankings.
West St. John returns to action Friday at home against John F. Kennedy at 6 pm while the Bulldogs (1-12) travel to The Church Academy Monday at 6 pm.
