Boys Basketball: Pearl River handles Livingston Collegiate, Belle Chasse hosts JFK

Area Boys Prep Basketball Report for Thursday, Jan. 10

Don’t look now but Pearl River is quietly having an excellent season on boys prep basketball.

The Rebels continued that fine season with an easy 81-57 home victory over Livingston Collegiate Wednesday night.

Blake Costello pumped in 28 points to pace Pearl River (13-2) while Drew Soileau added 21 points. Carlos Simmons finished with 12 points. Pearl River was 22nd in the most recent LHSAA Class 4A power rankings.

The Rebels will welcome Brother Martin Saturday at 5:15 pm while Livingston Collegiate (9-9) returns to action Friday at home against Sci Academy.

This evening, John F. Kennedy (11-9) plays host to Belle Chasse (4-11) at 6:45 pm.
