This Saturday at the 2024 Reese’s Senior Bowl, the best senior college football players from across the nation will showcase their skills in a bid to catch the attention of NFL teams hungry for talent.

For the first time, select underclassmen have also been extended invites, deepening the talent pool.

The annual event serves as a scouting goldmine long before Saturday’s exhibition, providing NFL personnel with a front-row seat to witness potential stars in action and capturing vital footage throughout the week of practices.

The rosters have been filled with an array of college football stars, including Heisman finalists Michael Penix Jr. and Bo Nix. Fellow quarterbacks from major college football programs like Sam Hartman and Spencer Rattler are also among the passer prospects present.

Among the quarterbacks in the 2024 draft class, there’s one quarterback who’s been stealing the Senior Bowl spotlight. His name is Michael Pratt.

The former Tulane standout has been turning heads daily, leaving NFL scouts buzzing.

Pratt’s journey at Tulane has resulted in magical results for a once downtrodden program. He’s helped the Green Wave reach unprecedented heights the past two seasons. Breaking records left and right, Pratt has not only claimed the title of all-time touchdown leader at the school with 90 but also holds the record for all-time passing yards at 9,603.

Additionally, Tulane’s historic triumph against Southern California in the 2023 Cotton Bowl has firmly etched his name forever in Tulane football history.

Despite graduating, Pratt’s career appears far from over. NFL draft analysts see the potential for a Day 2 selection for the 6-foot-2, 216-pound Florida native.

Throughout Senior Bowl week, Pratt has demonstrated his command of the a pro offense, a chip on his shoulder that scouts appreciate and a strong throwing arm.

Pratt’s exceptional command of the play-action game has consistently garnered accolades from scouts, who wanted to see him play in the showdown against a formidable Ole Miss team last season. Regrettably, an early-season injury kept him on the sidelines for a few games including the Rebels’ visit to New Orleans and NFL evaluators the opportunity to observe him against top-tier competition.

Tulane hasn’t had a quarterback drafted earlier than the second round since J.P. Losman in 2004. However, Pratt’s trajectory suggests he may be able to continue to climb draft boards.

Despite not playing for a Power 5 school, Pratt looks to follow in the footsteps over other underdogs at the QB position. Look no fusther than San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy, who emerged as a star desire being the last prospect drafted in 2022.

Anything is possible for Pratt, a higher regarded prospect with a similar winning college pedigree.

The Senior Bowl will be Saturday on NFL Network at 12 p.m. Central time.
