Former Saints defensive back Mike Spivey dead at 69
Former New Orleans Saints defensive back Mike Spivey passed away this past week after a long illness. He was 69.
Spivey, who played six seasons in the NFL, played for the Saints in 1980 and 1981. Spivey played in 14 games and had an interception.
A native of Houston, Texas, Spivey was a second-round draft pick of Chicago out of Colorado in 1977. Spivey also played for the Bears, Raiders and Falcons, seeing action in 77 games.
Spivey, who served in ministry after retiring, lived in Colorado.
