East St. John wide receiver Dkhai Joseph has been selected as the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl Prep Player of the Week for the metro New Orleans area for week 11 by the Greater New Orleans Quarterback Club, Crescent City Sports, NASH ICON 106.1 FM and WGNO/WNOL Friday Night Football.

A junior, Joseph caught 11 passes for 233 yards as the Wildcats held off Walker 29-28 in a thriller in the opening round of the Division I Non-Select state playoffs in a game streamed on CrescentCitySports.com.

“Dkhai does it day in and day out so when he does great things, it does not surprise you,” East St. John coach Brandon Brown said. “He’s a rare guy you get once in a while who buys into the process and does everything to be the best he can while making the team the best he can. We are blessed to have him.”

Sponsored by the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, Joseph will be honored at the year-end meeting of the Greater New Orleans Quarterback Club on Tuesday, December 13 at The Cannery in New Orleans.
