Darnell Lee resigns as head football coach at East Ascension
Darnell Lee has resigned as head football coach at East Ascension.
Lee posted his decision on Facebook.
East Ascension was 3-7 this past season, missing the playoffs. Lee, a 1993 graduate of East Ascension, spent eight years as the head coach of the Spartans and 10 years at the school. Lee posted a 53-38 overall record.
East Ascension reached the Class 5A quarterfinals in 2018 and the second round of the playoffs in 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022.
