Crescent City Sports’ extensive live streaming coverage of high school sports for 2019-20 continues Tuesday night with a Class 5A basketball regional-round matchup between two of the hottest teams in Louisiana, Hahnville and Ponchatoula.

CCS’ coverage of Tuesday’s game between the 10th-seeded Tigers (24-9) and seventh-seeded Green Wave (27-8) will begin just before the 7 p.m. tipoff. David Grubb and Bill Gallagher will describe the action.

Tuesday’s game matches a pair of district winners who are a combined 28-1 since the first week of January. Hahnville won the District 7-5A title while Ponchatoula made an unbeaten run through District 6-5A.

In Friday night’s opening round of the 5A playoffs, Hahnville avenged last year’s playoff loss to Thibodaux with a 65-60 victory, while Ponchatoula knocked off Grace King 67-61.

Tuesday’s winner will face either Southwood or Ouachita Parish in the quarterfinals on Friday. Ponchatoula is seeking a second straight trip to the 5A quarterfinals.

The Crescent City Sports team has produced more than 300 live streams since 2012 and will feature live streaming of no fewer than 30 high school sporting events throughout the 2019-20 school year. Additionally, in cooperation with Cox Sports Television, CCS will also produce up to 10 more events that will both be televised on CST and streamed on the site.
