Cohen handles Ben Franklin, 50-27
Cohen is not participating in the LHSAA postseason but their playoff game of sorts was Thursday on the Lakefront.
The Green Hornets passed the test and head into the offseason with positive feeling and momentum with a 50-27 victory over Ben Franklin to close its season at 3-4.
Cohen jumped on top early and took a 14-0 lead after one quarter and led 20-7 at halftime. It was 38-21 going to the fourth quarter.
Senior quarterback Delvin Lewis was the star, accounting for five touchdowns including three rushing and two passing.
Senior wide receiver/linebacker Tyrrel Nelson was good on both sides of the ball, rushing for a touchdown, catching a touchdown pass and recording two sacks.
Sophomore wide receiver/cornerback Geremy Lewis ran for a score and caught a touchdown pass and was brilliant on defense, recording four interceptions.
The Falcons finished their season 1-8.
