Senior Hunter Dunn led the way as Brother Martin defeated Archbishop Shaw 23-4 in high school bowling action Thursday afternoon at Colonial Lanes.

Dunn had games of 213, 268 and 201 for a team-best 682 series as the Crusaders had a 3,590 team series. Brother Martin led 7-1 after the first game and 13-3 after two games.

Senior Cody Schaffer was solid from the anchor position with games of 227, 204 and 217 for a 648 set, while Drew Gardner finished strong with a 247 for a 643 series.

Quentin Bullie led the Eagles (1-1) with a 594 series, including games of 203 and 201.

Jesuit 26, Holy Rosary 1: At AMF All Star Lanes in Kenner, the Blue Jays moved to 2-0 with an easy victory.

Jesuit substituted liberally throughout the match, with only Adam Francis bowling all three games. Ben Hunn rolled games of 200 and 192 to pace the winners.

Holy Rosary’s Jack Weese closed with a 180 game to claim his team’s lone point.

Kenner Discovery 16, Salmen 11: At Bowling USA in Slidell, the Swamp Owls raced out to an early lead and held off the Spartans for the victory.

Behind Dominic Orlando’s 170 game, Kenner Discovery (1-1) won all eight points in the first game and built a 188-pin lead. Salmen rallied to close to within 10-6 after two games and won five of the eight points in the final game, but the Swamp Owls’ edge in total pins was too much to overcome.

The match was Salmen’s season opener.
