Bogalusa’s Ashton Levi names GNO QB Club Player of Week

Bogalusa quarterback Ashton Levi has been selected as the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl Prep Player of the Week for the metro New Orleans area for week nine by the Greater New Orleans Quarterback Club, Crescent City Sports, NASH ICON 106.1 FM and WGNO/WNOL Friday Night Football.

A junior, Levi accounted for 605 yards and five touchdowns in a 56-15 win over Pine. He completed 19 of 28 passes for 544 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions. Levi also rushed three times for five yards and a fifth touchdown and caught a pass for 56 yards.

“Ashton had a tremendous night,” Bogalusa coach Cyril Crutchfield said. ‘That’s what I expect of him. He is really the leader. It starts with practice and he practices well. He got us in good, manageable situations. He’s a tremendous asset. I’m just glad he has another year. We expect more great things to come from him.”
