Basketball: Shaw opens season with win over The Willow School

Area Prep Basketball Report for Friday, Nov. 18

Coming off a season where the Eagles won the Catholic League district title and reached the Division I semifinals, expectations are high for Archbishop Shaw again in the 2022-23 season.

The Eagles opened their season with a convincing 56-33 win over The Willow School Thursday in Marrero.

Chris Creppel was superb, scoring 25 points to lead the way. Allen Shaw had nine points while Xavier Meyers added eight points.

Shaw will return to action Saturday night at 7 p.m. at home against Slidell.
