Archbishop Shaw defensive lineman Jayden Scott has decided it’s easy being green…and close to home.

The rising 2024 recruit has decided to go from the West Bank to play college football Uptown at Tulane.

The 6-foot-4, 240 pounder has been gaining steam lately on the trail, making him even more of a good get for Willie Fritz and the Green Wave. also received offers from Louisville, Georgia Tech, Texas Tech, ULL, Louisiana Tech, Southern Miss and Troy.

A pass rush specialist who can play with his hand in the dirt or in a two-point stance, Scott diagnoses plays quickly. He can speed rush or bull rush the passer. He is an edge who also has demonstrated skills to string out plays going wide and make the stop.

Scott is the seventh pledge for the Green Wave’s 2024 recruiting class and thr second defensive lineman, joining Ruston’s Geordan Guidry who committed this past weekend. Overall, Tulane has garnered four commitments this month.
