Volleyball Report: Cabrini with impressive win over Hannan, Assumption beats Terrebonne

Cabrini continues to improve and will be a force down the road in the Division II playoffs.

The Crescents were impressive in a 25-17, 25-23, 25-13 home victory over Archbishop Hannan Wednesday.

Senior A.J. Jells led the way with 11 kills while Jennifer Brue had 27 assists for the Crescents (10-7). Allee Morris had seven kills and a block while Kennedy Flauss had 23 digs for the Hawks (8-7).

Both teams are back in action today as Cabrini travels to Warren Easton for a 5 p.m. meeting while Hannan will host Lakeshore at 5 p.m.

Assumption won a District 6-II match at Terrebonne, beating the Tigers 25-17, 22-25, 25-23, 25-23 victory Wednesday.

Elise Smith was dominant for the Mustangs (118-8, 2-0) with 26 kills while Ra’Von Robertson had 12 kills, nine digs and four aces. Taylor Walls led the Tigers (7-7, 0-1) with 16 kills while Lauren Bergeron had 30 assists.
