NEW ORLEANS – University of New Orleans Athletics has hired Randi Bohler as its Assistant Athletic Director of Communications, announced Tim Duncan, Vice President of Athletics & Recreation.

“Randi rose above the competition with her knowledge of modern, strategic communications,” stated Duncan. “We are looking to enhance our storytelling through enhanced digital, social, and linear opportunities. Bohler comes to New Orleans with over eight years of sports communications and higher education communications experience after working at Savannah State University, Trinity Washington University, and Coppin State University.

“I am very excited to be part of the Privateers organization,” Bohler said. “I want to thank Tim Duncan, Steve Stroud, and Kimberly Gallow for entrusting me with this special opportunity. I look forward to helping our department tell the stories of our incredibly talented teams, coaches, staff, and alumni, and continuing to build relationship with the amazing city of New Orleans. The athletics department is truly committed to providing support and cultivating student-athletes of scholarship, character and leadership.”

At Savannah State University, Bohler worked as the marketing and communications specialist. During her time there, she managed internal and external communications for the university and worked closely with the University President on public relations.
