Techsters forward Harris named C-USA Freshman of the Week

RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech forward Brianna Harris was named the Conference USA Freshman of the Week Monday following her performances in the Lady Techsters two wins over Florida Atlantic and FIU.

Harris averaged 10.0 points and 2.0 rebounds while shooting shooting 69 percent from the field as the Lady Techsters won both games.

The Mobile, Alabama native scored a career-high 12 points and hit a pair of three-pointers in Tech’s 90-72 win over FIU Saturday. Earlier in the week she scored eight points and grabbed a pair of rebounds in an 86-55 victory over Florida Atlantic.

Harris is the second Lady Techster to earn the C-USA Freshman of the Week award as guard Keinnua Walker earned the honor in early December.
