A split of its two games last week only cost the LSU men’s basketball team a couple of spots in The Associated Press poll and three places in the USA Today coaches’ poll.

Ranked 19th in poll polls last week, the Tigers fell to No. 21 in the AP rankings and No. 22 in the coaches’ vote.

Following a comfortable road win against Texas A&M last Wednesday, LSU was upset at home by Arkansas, 90-89, to snap a 10-game winning streak Saturday.

LSU travels to Starkville on Wednesday to take on Mississippi State at 8 p.m. in a SEC contest to air on ESPN2.

LSU is No. 17 in Andy Katz’ Top 36 on NCAA.com and Jon Rothstein of CBSsports.com had LSU No. 20 in his Top 25 poll.
